Driving conditions
» Snow removal on Hwy 2 is usually excellent. The pass is occasionally closed for avalanche control and sometimes chains are required, so please come prepared for winter driving conditions, especially if you're planning to ski or drive to Leavenworth. » The roads are in very good condition year-round and kept clear in winter, but the short steep driveways to the cabin can be slippery. 4WD or chains are needed when there is snow.
» Standard driving time from Seattle downtown to the Lodge is 1 hour 30 min. Please do respect speed limits. No need to stress out on the way to relaxing...
